I have no friend who I can embrace
or touch
or see face to face
no soft hand to hold
when hurtful memories
I'd like to escape from or erase
Sometimes my heart is pulled in every direction
unaware of time or space
though time is likely running out on me
and upon reflection, I'm losing this fated race
My attraction is to the souls who shun care
or to angels who tell lies to save face
and this day again
my emotions are flying
and everything inside is spinning in it's would be place
but somewhere inside
something cuts to the chase
upon my lips
'Thank you' leaps off the mind's springboard
....'for your friendship and for your grace'
