How fortunate am I today!
To fare a day another day,
And stay a little a longer mile;
How grateful am I today!
To descry a new jocund hope-
And walk a step a step further;
How fortunate am I today!
Lo! Desparing lots! To-day
Fail to claim and hail
What I joy proclaim;
Oh! Poor souls! Pale and cold
Their lips forever mute
On the icy bed of coloured grey;
May they rest eternally
And peace and mercy find;
Thank Thee Heavens!
Today is here and mine.
Everyday is great when life flows on and on and you are a piece of it
