Thank You Poem by Nathan Barkley

Thank You

The despair and problems came falling in
Way before i notice my life ever began
Just like the sun falls into darkness gradually
It's just at first I didn't noticed them

I wonder how many people feel what i'm going through
Pain and suffering is all the same
Being beaten down until i was nothing
Every night crying until the healing came
What a shame
I still feel the very same pain
Like it was yesterday

Why does this feeling exist?
Was i made to feel like this?
Living my life different from the rest?
Letting the beautiful color red
Flow from my wrist
Even if its for a second i would like some relief

Feeling disgusted in my own skin
I know i sin
But is it right for me to be treated this way?

Yet something happen
Only to leave me dead
Yet alive at the same time
For the first time i saw the sun rise

Thank you my love
I should of known
Only acting like this didn't hurt anyone but myself
Your beautiful brown eyes
Ripped every bad feeling inside
Letting it bleed out from my eyes

You taught me so much
Yet strange things they were
Like i should open up these broken wings
'To love another i must first love myself'
I have been lying to myself haven't I

You tell me that the problems will keep coming in
I fall down and cry
What's the point, i will die
Yet you catch and tell me
'don't worry i will fall with you, and fly up with you
keep trying and you will see
Life is difficult but being happy is even harder
Don't worry with time you will get stronger'
Then you kissed me
I just can't believe
I found you
Thank you
