Thank You Dear Child Poem by Tshenolo Ntau

Thank You Dear Child

As I enter the door, my spirit crushed by the turmoil of the day
Weariness rejoicing balefully though for a moment
Your small sparkling eyes are a reflection of hope
Your beautiful smile melts the doubts and fears for the day
Your sweet little voice calling Mummy speaks volumes
As I look at you with all your confidence I see my copy
The cheerful smaller version of me reminds me of the giant within me
Instantly life and its beauty is irresistibly blown back into me with might and unquestionable joy
As I regain the self that was lost in the midst of the world and its confusion during the day
I joyfully approach the Master with thanks giving and count all my blessings
I retire to bed having connected with the Master all because of you

Thank you dear child, Mummy loves you
