Thank You, Father, Thank You! Poem by Denis Martindale

For every gift that You bestowed, for every friend I've met,
For all the guidance that You showed, these things I won't forget.
For every Scripture found in time that prompted me to pray,
For all the answers called sublime until this very day.
For times when I got called to teach the Gospel to reveal,
For all the sermons pastors preach, and every time You heal.
For every man of God You chose to share Good News and more,
For all the psalmists who wrote prose that thrills us to the core.

For every saint anointed still, with ministries to serve,
For Jesus Christ to climb that hill to save lost souls on Earth.
For Calvary is where Christ went, atoning for Mankind,
Eternal life to then present, forgiveness thus to find.
Yes, those who find the Saviour's love are foremost blessed indeed.
Amazing grace that proves enough applies to every need.
A billion lost souls still to save? God knows when Christ returns!
Let's thank the Lord for what God gave, God's gift that no one earns!

The King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, brings love that never ends,
And blessed are those beyond rewards that Jesus calls His friends!
