I felt my heart speed up
but it wasnt the good kind.
It beat too fast,
it no longer wanted to be
encased within me.
It became hard to breathe
my eyes began to dim
my throat began to tighten
I cried out
You heard
and released the invisible
fingers gripping my neck.
Thank You
Thank You for another day.

This is a very thought provoking poem about barely escaping death's choking grasp around your life so fragile and valuable. Heart attacks and strokes can be very deadly at times in life. I gave it a ten kind sir artistic poet of this fun reading site. God bless all poets-MJG.
