Thank You God Poem by Luke Easter

Thank You God

Every morning when I arise,
Gazing earnestly through my eyes,
Past the ceiling to the heavens above,
Praying intently for divine favor and love.

Only those who seek the Lord early will find,
God's word has to start out first in our mind,
Beginning everyday with a spiritual conviction,
Spreading the gospel must be our only intention.

I have been blessed with writing lyrics in rhyme,
Being honored to praise You all of the time.
Pleasing my Lord first with this poetic gift,
In the name of Jesus it’s only meant to uplift.

To post for others doing what I do best,
From this spirit filled gift above all the rest,
Just a bonus should everything else work too,
Always giving Praise, Honor and Glory to You.

Truly thankful in everything by prayer and supplication,
Philippians also speaks of virtue, honesty & pure dedication,
Whether I go up, down or around, steering clear of altercations,
Remembering the higher calling of God, in all communication.

I’m thankful You have allowed me to be all that I can,
Always guided in Your light through the Son Of Man,
With a testament understanding of the Masters’ plan,
I strive to do more, not less, than the best that I can.

Every night as I kneel while praying and lovingly ask,
For a sunshine future knowing I am forgiven for the past,
Thankful for my wonderful daughter and sweetheart wife,
Trusting Christ by the Holy Spirit for guidance in our life.

Tonight let's go to bed for tomorrow as we hope and pray,
Rising with the sun and the promises coming our way,
Ephesians 3: 20, Exceedingly above all that we ask or think,
A compassionate cup of love from Your well grateful to drink.

Feel free to use us our Father, as You see fit,
Whether it’s a whole lot or just a wee little bit,
We are only blessed when led by Your direction,
Safe passage achieved by divine kingdom protection.

From the very first letter to the last word I write,
All I have ever heard and viewed with my sight,
Unable to see a future, trust in the outcome you can,
Adhere to, rely on and trust in the great 'I Am.'
