Running down my cheek
like a fountain of burning acid
emphasising my fears

Pain
tingling through my body
taking hold of my breath
stopping the blood in every vain

Hope
A faint memory of a word
which once made my world
made me able to cope

Sorrow
Overwhelming me with all its might
rushing through my soul
making me not believe in tomorrow

Love
Building me up again and again
keep getting me through the worst
