That Guitar - Poem by Eli MorenoDrew

That guitar,
Over there,
Over in the other side of the world
It sounds like it’s calling me
Like
It’s crying almost…
Is it?
Is it crying?
It’s so distant that I can’t see it
But my soul and bone
Do feel it
That BumbBumbBumb
Yes, the melodic staccato
It’s everywhere
Bumbumbumbumb
My knees fall
And my ear is pulled on it’s thread
By a glissando of steel
TwagANGtwagANG
My mind, my ear, those sounds
Everywhere.
It’s everywhere.
Oh take me where you want
I’ll follow
As
Best
I
Could… better-yet-carry-me.
I’m yours for what you want.
