That Is How I Know Poem by Mark Heathcote

That Is How I Know

Sometimes I hear
Something that isn't there
That is how I know
You are there!

Does an angel
Carry a shadow after you
Dose an Icarus cast
The morning dew
Bespoke the wondrous deep
That is how I know
It is you.

Sometimes I hear
Something that isn't there
That is how I know
You are there
Amidst the morning dew…

Amid the moister in the air
That is how I know
You are there
A laden miracle of truth
For all who believe in you.

You carry so much weight
The weight of the weak
But they only hunger
To be like water in worship
Floating in the air after you
That is how I know
There is, only you.
