That September Day Poem by Kate Bauer

That September Day

I was just in second grade on that awful September day.
I sat at home and wondered, but instead went outside
My mom and dad discussed and talked about the terrorists.
Confusion and frustration all throughout my head

I still do not quite understand what would cause anyone to do that and why those towers fell to the ground killing so many.
Ten years passed, I now know more.
I have heard the stories and seen the photos and watched it pass by on TV.
