That Someone Poem by Mahathi Mydavolu

That Someone

I wish that someone enters room
a lightning like with showers sweet;
and like the Sun swallowing gloom.

For Him I made abode my neat
and redolent with myrrh incense
and waited with festoons to greet!

As glows of burning wicks turned dense,
the night withdrew to foliar shades
and goggled Moon, through yonder lense.

I peered through sill and spread out glades,
laboured to sniff His cosmic scent
and tried to hear His soft glissades.

Know not I but Divine accent,
His holy word and mystic stroll!
to sense and feel His grand advent!

Like temple's toll, like pearls on roll,
like Ganga's flow and melting snow
I wish He comes to touch my soul!

Nay, nay He's here that evil's foe,
like virginal seed sowed deep in loam
in wait of hail of hallowed glow!

He's there already glad at home;
like humble ember veiled by soot,
as silent trill of sacred OM!

He's high and low; as leaf and root,
He's out and in as infinite
and soul...a bounty nigh to loot!

Realised I not His nebulous knit
so far, and tried all trivial feats!
It's time the noesis is lit!
