That Time Is The Master Poem by Francis Duggan

That Time Is The Master

We have been told that great wordsmiths are born not made
And that from literary history great names will never fade
But all things eventually to time does lose out
That time is immortal there can be no doubt
And those who talk ofimmortality should also be aware
That time in it's own time of all things take care
The name of a famed artist or writer post bodily death for centuries may live on
But time will be around when all recordsof them from history has long gone
The achievements ofmodern humans has been great
But time will outlive all things they do create
Those who claim some human achievements have got it all wrong
The greatest human achievements in time will only last for so long
In time most things in them does have a use by date
The great names of the Human World that we celebrate
In time eventually from history will fade away
That time is the master in truth one can say.
