That Was 10 Years Ago... Poem by RIC BASTASA

we went to a high mountain
at the top there is a hot spring
and we did not take the dip
unlike the rest who enjoyed
it since the top was cold and
the water was hot, and so
there was comfort, and it
started to rain and you have
the black umbrella and you
shared it with me, yes that
was ten years ago and it was
different since we were both
in love, so in love, but now
the weather has changed and
we changed too and you have
the black umbrella and it
started to rain and you shared
it with another and i must be
lucky that i am no longer there.
