That Would Be Lovely Poem by Aryn James

That Would Be Lovely

Rating: 4.8

If I could write music, it would be about you,
Every note so delicate and quiet,
But loud and bold at the same time,
Like angels rejoicing praise in the heavenly skies,
Wouldn’t that be lovely?

If I was an artist, every picture I draw would be of you,
Your flawless features; your gentle warm smile
Your beauty would blind the eyes of many,
But also open those to the few who see threw you
Wouldn’t that be lovely?

If I could just tell myself that I’m over you,
To fold open a smile every morning and put it on,
So I could fool the world; let them think its ok
Or to just tell people how I feel without being judged,
Wouldn’t that be lovely?

If only those things could happen,
To bad; I will never be able to write music
I will never be able to draw,
And sadly, I will never be able to get over you.

And you will go on and live your life without worry
And you will love again in no time,
And I will stay here in my fantasy,
With my eyes open to the world; but my mind closed
Now that is lovely.
