The Accuser Of The Brethren Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

The Accuser Of The Brethren

Rating: 5.0

Oh Devil, accuser of the brethren,
With your deceitful tongue and wicked grin,
You roam the earth, seeking to condemn,
But in the end, it is you who will not win.
Your eyes are filled with envy and pride,
Your heart is black, your soul is stained,
Leading astray those who let you inside,
For you offer nothing but pain.
With every brother and sister you accuse,
You try to tear apart God's holy kin,
But He stands strong, His love will not loose,
For He is greater, and in Him we will win.
You whisper lies and plant seeds of doubt,
Trying to weaken our faith and hope,
But we hold fast to the truth we shout,
For in Christ, we are able to cope.
You masquerade as an angel of light,
But your true intentions are plain to see,
For you only seek to steal, kill, and fight,
But in Christ, we have eternal victory.
Oh Devil, your time is running short,
For the King of Kings will come again,
And you will be cast into eternal court,
Where your judgement will be plain.
So, though you may continue to accuse,
We will stand firm in our faith and trust,
For in Christ, our victory has been sealed,
And in Him, we will forever be just.
So be gone, oh Devil, accuser of the brethren,
For your lies and schemes will no longer prevail,
In Christ, we have found our true haven,
And in Him, we will forever prevail.
