The Actress Poem by Cynthia Aluning

The Actress

Rating: 5.0

Lights...camera...action!

of fame and wonder
of glamour enkindled
of life's greener pasteur
a triumphant scenario!

and the lights start shining...

internalizing...emoting
vividly fascinating
behind all the scenes
does life really exist?

while the camera starts rolling...

bye reality for the moment
erasing grins, wiping tears
an artful creation roling
true-to-life, fantasy or make-believe

thus, the action begins...

lights...camera...action!

applause...

beneath the magic spell
underneath is heaven or hell
do you still have life to lead?
or mere portrayal to heed?

do you still see the sun rising?
as it glows warmth on your skin?
how many inches your kids have grown?
or they are just paintings on the wall?

86,400 seconds in a day...
in life, there'll be no seconds
think further...and think clockwise
for you cannot turn back the hands of time

mirror... mirror on the wall
always there when I stumble and fall

thanks for bearing with me...

thank you for listening!
