The Aging Reminisce Poem by Stephen Harris

The Aging Reminisce

Come sit with me a while my love
let hearts now reminisce
can you recall when eyes first met
lips sealed in lovers kiss

And then we made for us a home
a nest where fledglings grew
we lost ourselves into their care
until too big they flew

But then the twilight of our lives
came with the setting sun
two lovebirds sitting side by side
had merged to form the one

You've been a dream to me my dear
I love you but have fears
our days together are not long
and lessen with the years
