The Agony Of Choise Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Agony Of Choise

A fork in the road, a heavy sigh,
Two paths ahead, which way to try?
Both shine so bright, a tempting gleam,
But shadows lurk, a troubled dream.

One offers joy, a happy song,
The other peace, where I belong.
But choosing one, the other fades,
A whispered loss, in silent shades.

My mind spins round, a dizzy haze,
Lost in the maze of passing days.
This weighty pull, this inner strife,
The agony of choosing life.

Too many doors, too much to see,
What if the best is not for me?
A fearful knot, a tightening band,
Lost in the choices of this land.

But stop and breathe, and look again,
Not all must be perfect, my dear friend.
Two, maybe three, is all I need,
A focused path, to plant my seed.

A time to pause, a time to know,
When to let go, and help it grow.
My heart may whisper, soft and low,
Which way is right, which way to go.
