The Answer Poem by Edwina Reizer

The Answer

Tell me God how will I know
what you want from me?
Will you send me a message
and just what will it be?

I will listen everyday
to hear your supreme reply.
But what if I can't hear it
until my time to die?

Will it be because I turned a deaf ear
to what you had to say?
Or will it be because my free will
had me do things my way.

I guess I'll find my answers
when I leave this place.
For a God that's not judgemental
I'm not afraid to face.
