The Assignment That Proved Onerous Poem by Alvin Parkinson

The Assignment That Proved Onerous

Rating: 5.0

A tyrant that is omnipotent, a power it is
With ominous threatening acts don’t thou with brute have opprobrious ways
Omniscient to the knowledge of sinful omnivorous seekers, in these ravage days
Occlude the laws of just, so thou who art obtuse can’t learn it

I am suppose to give opulence to thou who capture this sickness
It’s like a battle of God’s prophets against oracles, soothsayers, and mediums
Black spells, and observance that comes obtrusive by witches
A pushy duty so I know I wont be tedium

But the task has come over powering to my expectation
The opaque view has dim my redolence to prepare
It has put extra pounds on my cross that’s my God representation
I’m in the shadow of death and many are there

I pursue my mission til my mission can pursue not
My methods and strategies I put out in play
But all came to naught, nothing but a huge blot
What sadness as this comes to a disarray

An adversary that excess the compete board
A noxious substance that plagues me so
Humming bird of loathsome that pecks me so
And viruses and a war erupting sword

This assignment came out with unconceivable durability
One that I don’t have understanding upon
I’ve deceive my self into boasting my victor to come
Onerous on my behave which has brought me humility
