The Australian Flag Poem by Paul Warren

The Australian Flag

A flag flies on a summer's day
Fluttering against the azure blue
Nationalism in its simplest form
We see the old with the Union Jack
And the Southern Cross on dark blue
Symbolises the dust and the sun
The toil of our forebears plain to see
Ready to defend our life and liberty.
