The Autumn Starts Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Autumn Starts

The autumn starts

Now I stand at the door
My vision has turned poor
Eye sight is blurred
Thoughts too have been erred

The autumn has struck
Like sitting duck
It has water
But unable to swim over

The feet have crumbled
And almost dead
With no zeal to move forward
I close the eyes and wait for word

I am down with spirit and that has not added
As spring has just now faded
It has no breeze in the morning
But only early shining

Autumn
It has returned
The leaves to fall
And obey nature's call
