Must you see God by earthly eyes
to turn a believer?
Must God jump down from heavenly skies
To clear your doubts, brother?
The Maker isn’t at beck and call,
He is the creator;
For fame, He need not play foot-ball,
He is not God-father.
Is not the Nature that He made
Enough as proof of Him?
He watches every grassy blade,
And keeps it growing trim.
The awesome God has heart of love,
That men never discern;
He lives in immense light above,
That man can never learn.
Why query God who made all things
To glorify His power?
Why not accept Him King of kings,
Our Father and Lover?
