On a lark
We went to a concert in the park
On this night warm and clear
People came from far and near
The musicians played the Big Band Sound
Syncopated rhythms of great renown
As they played
“Get up and danced”, they bade
And only the elderly did
Seniors acting just like a kid
Gyrating to and fro
Remembering an era long ago
Enjoying their years of gold
Proving that “You’re never to old”
