The Bank Of Time Poem by Asma Khan

The Bank Of Time

I am sitting in the garden of Eve
with so many beautiful flowers around me
I take a few steps down the rosy lane
to close my eyes and
buy some dreams to bring along to life

where a few puzzles stay unsolved
where a few wishes fly upon
where a few days rain tears
where a few breathes stuck in the air

I walk slowly, gazing upon the bright blue skies
with a burning sun in my hands
I am sowing a few seeds of sunshine
over the cold eyes and
ploughing some dreams to feed
the hungry monster of time

where no clouds shower sadness
where no heart beats for love
where no eyes shed tears
where no one ever gets hurt

Sowing seeds of sunshine and ploughing dreams - lovely words. A really good poem.
