Before us crouched the natives, menacing, ready for war.
Armed with their deadliest weapons, just as they were before!
Stamping and lunging they challenged us to meet them on their ground,
Before them the grisly remains of their feast, littered all around.
Some were creeping stealthily about, others hid in cover,
All were screaming and shouting out – at us and at each other!
Bravely we joined them in battle, armed only with whistle and voice,
And we took them on, those natives, we didn’t have a choice!
We withstood each powerful ambush, disarming those we could,
And we managed to take some prisoners, as our ground we firmly stood!
The whistles proved to be useless, unheard above the din
Of a mass of yelling natives, each determined to do us in!
We stood intrepid and used our heads, as well as other parts,
To try to gain the upper hand and maybe capture hearts!
We were saved by the bell as usual, from massacre today....
