The Beats of Love

It's a feeling inside a man and woman
starting as sweet melody from nowhere
bringing immense joy beyond measure.

It ‘s a constant knocking, a persistent
beating and pounding of the heart, wanting
only to get a glimpse of the beloved.

And when the beloved responds
by a smile and words of acceptance,
the world turns into a perfect array
of dance and ever sparkling lights.
