The big concepts Poem by Véronique Pittolo

The big concepts

The big concepts of well-being, happiness, kindness, correspond to the catechisms' virtue, the interminable Sunday morning sermon.

Who will remember an ironed collar, the navy blue skirt, the little Bermuda shorts at the age when girls were dressed as boys? In this get-up, you can guess the terrible boredom of gardens on a Sunday afternoon, saying hello to the ducks, the squeaky round of children and old people, you can hear it.

The most beautiful day sends us back to the clear light of an everlasting moment through which we imagine the meeting of a father and mother before the child was conceived, against a backdrop of melancholy. When this happens it causes us to sidestep or trip, for what use is a walk no one remembers?
