The Big Difference Poem by Edwina Reizer

The Big Difference

When men forget why they are here
they take up a gun and kill.
When men remember why they are here
they always do God's will.

Thou shalt not kill the words do say.
And still the wars go on.
Until this phrase is followed
the killing will never be gone.

Women remember why they are here.
They replenish the earth.
They accept the seed that's planted
and honor life through birth.

They bear the pain with no remorse.
They nurture and provide
love and loyalty in their lives.
And cry when men have died.
