The Birds In The Air......

they've been under your care for years
you've done much
and then the ripe time comes for them
to be set free
oh, these birds, they belong to the air
and you watch them fly away
somehow you cried like a child
it is not the parting which is fatal
if they only knew how as a child
you wish upon a star to be like them someday
