In the darkness of the mind
When hope lies swaddled
In blankets of despair
And the spirit blinds itself from reality
There comes a tiny flicker of light
Able to start an inferno if you'd let it
And set your soul on fire
From the inside out
Beautifully fragile
as a blue green soap bubble
Fascinating and unexplainable
like crop circles in the corn
Easily destroyed
by a sudden gust of reality
Lovingly treasured
like a sweet childhood memory
