The Blonde Lass In The Goggles/ Wild Daffodils Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Blonde Lass In The Goggles/ Wild Daffodils

The Blonde Lass In The Goggles

Who is the young maiden
Smiling
In the goggles
Looking like a cine artiste,
A theatre girl,
A film heroine?

Who the lass in the goggles
Smiling,
The heroine of my heart
So smart and up-to-date,
The heart-throb of city culture and urbanity?

A portrait of a young woman
As an artist,
The artist as a young woman,
A photograph
From the album of life.

Wild Daffodils

How do they appear to be
Golden and shining,
Wild daffodils
In the woodland and the damp meadow,
The grassland and the orchard
Growing to bloom in clusters?
Golden bulbs dotting the county and the woods
So wild, golden and shiny.
