The Bokoharamians Poem by Hontonnu Dominic

The Bokoharamians

Rating: 5.0

They cladded themselves with the garment of bloodshed
Their mind blackened, their conscience dead
Western education is forbidden
Outright intentions are hidden
The child that is not trained
Will destroy all that the father had gained
Security threat everywhere
Bomb might blast somewhere
Be careful where you go at the basement
A suicide bomber might desire your embracement

They hurt human like human hurt animal
Yet they put it all on religions
They says they are fighting the good fight
But forget that they are humans too
Their heart blind with hatred for civilization
And they destroys what their fathers has build with their bear hand
And their home full with weapons
The blood of the innocent cry on their head
And they says they intervene on behave of the poor ones
But send little ones to their early grave

They reject western creed
Yet their weapons are not crude
Reclusion sometimes leads to psychosis
Graduates tore their papers and flee to oasis
To pursue a life of vanity
And send innocent souls to endless eternity
They lay claim to lives they cannot give
And think they fight for their believe
Who will save them from this malady?
Reasoning with a bestial produces no good melody
Who will save them from this malady?
who will save them from this insanity
They’ve put themselves in
The old one travel abroad for training
As if it a good cause and without an A they’ve fail
Who will show them the light now
Who will free them from this life
I pray they lean and change so as we can have a better Nigeria
For you and me
Till then please don’t stop praying cause that is the only thing we can do
