The Book Of The Law Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

The Book Of The Law

True love is like the light that shines in the dark places!
So keep the commandments and be free with your mind to live in peace;
For my words are true on this love in this thixk forest around me,
But, do not withhold the wages of a hired worker beyond the agreed time.

Do not take advantage of thwe windows and the orphans aroun you,
And a judge must not pervert the Justice due to the stranger!
However, do not eat any unclean fish and seafood.
Fish, dish, polish, Kish, finish, Irish, nourish, garnish, punish, furnish;
But you are closer to a human corpse and, that makes you ritually unclean!
However, the king of your town must acquire and apply the Book of the Law to rule his people.
