The Broom Poem by Frank Adie

The Broom

I am a little broom found in every home;
I am one of the most essential needs of every household,
And the most disregarded as well;
I am never considered a priced possession,
Hence men don't mention me in their will;
But no matter how I am being looked down upon,
I still believe in myself;
My usefulness remains indisputable.

My value is not in how men define me;
Neither is it in how I am priced;
My value is in my usefulness and indispensability'
I am not what you make of me,
Rather I am what I am,
I am a broom, and that's what I am.
