The Bud Is Always Filled With Potential - Poem by Maria Cuervo

Twining protectively around itself
in a perfection of inexperience
we feel sad to see it open
yet revel in it’s quiet longing
to touch the sky and in its long, sleek arms
hold some unmarred future.
