The Carved Hand Poem by Shelley Jones

The Carved Hand

Roughened wood;
Yet so elegant in posture

Long tapered fingers;
Ballerina's composure

Whirls of grain unstained
Own the creases
Of this masterpiece;

The only addition being
Joint flexures seen
And nails so beautifully filed;

An artist's work beguiles

YOU HAVE A RARE KNACK TO PUT YOUR FEELINGS INTO WORDS...GOOD POETRY AGAIN, GOOD STUFF.
