The Celestial-Bodies I Cannot Give To You Poem by Gert Strydom

The Celestial-Bodies I Cannot Give To You

(in answer to Gilbert Gibson)

Celestial-bodies I cannot give to you,
with you I can have a sincere relationship.
The sun, moon and stars lay out of my reach
but I can draw you deep into my arms.
The mornings and seasons are still long gone
but in the here and now I do adore you,
on the Lord God we can both trust,
holy days full of love we can both enter in,
with you I can have a sincere relationship.
