The Chandipatha
How does it strike the syllables,
Mantric syllables and psalms
Written in praise of Chandika
So incantatory and enchanting,
Powerful and soul-alluring
Addressed to the autumnal arrival
Of Mother Goddess
Bhagabati,
The Mother Divine
And so remarkably the invocation
Through consciousness,
The realization of the self
Purging and purifying it,
Chastizing with the effect
So cathartic and purgatory?
