The sacred, sacrosanct recitation
From the holy Chandipatha
Chastizing the spirit and the self,
Purifying and cleansing the within,
Purifying it with the mantras
Dripping, pattering, distilling trhe inner self

Words, syllables, letters,
The alphabet with the script,
All resonant with sound, speech, vibrant with
Telling of the mythical, mystical, supernatural
Hide and presence of Bhagabati,
The Divine She.

Bhagabati is coming, Bhagabati is coming,
Have you not heard,
Have you not,
Bhagabati is coming, Bhagabati is coming,
The Divine She, Devi Durga is coming,
The Mother Divine is coming?
