The world seems to be different now
Too different from that day I uttered a vow
When I told myself to get on that plane
And dance with Grandpa under the rain.
It's so lonely in this season they call adulting
It feels like my feet are always running after something
It's hard to dream but it's easy to feel miserable
Always avoiding fantasy, thinking only of what's possible.
I guess this is humanity's greatest downfall
To forget to imagine, to neglect what makes up the soul
To think that work after work is only that matter
To believe that cash is only that flutter.
This is why the world seems to be different now
Too different from that day I uttered a vow
It's because as a dreamer who lived and grew
I became part of the change I complain about too.
