The Chimes Of Rationalization Poem by Bryan Taplits

The Chimes Of Rationalization

The days slip by with a slumping supine sigh-
Sometimes I wish there only was only one day more,
The times they don't fly-I hear myself cry-
Forlorn, I search for the 'upstairs' on my floor.
I missed my past, and my future looks worse-
I guess I should get ready to moan,
But, I still see a way
where I might come in first:
Yes, my tinnitus has swelled-like a clock-tower's pulsating bell
I smile, 'Point mine! -
"Thank Goodness.
"At least now I'll never be alone! "
