When you realize, he said
That you are unlimited possibility
Infinite potential for good
Abundance
Fulfillment
And joy
Well then, you also become aware
That that is true
Not only for you
But for everyone else, too

Each of us, she replied
Is precious, a gift
Unique and indispensable
You and I are not complete
Without the others who share this planet
When we welcome and include our neighbors
Then we become more whole
A great big family of sorts
Our diversity, our strength

There is more than enough of everything we need to go around, he observed
Scarcity is an illusion
Our wellspring of energy and resources
Only magnified by our innovative minds
Resilient social bonds
And fascinating cultural competencies
We complement one another
Each and every one of us a treasure

When we dance our beautiful dances, she offered
We may be moving to different music in extraordinary and distinct ways
But the Spirit that is dancing
Is the one we all share
Movement, music, full self-expression
And the heart and soul of our multi-faceted cultural gems
Sparkling and refracting the light of the universe
Prisms casting rainbows all across our skies

He looked up and out toward the distant horizon visible through an opening in the trees
He said,
The silhouette sunset
Deepening
Clear blue sky above
Sharpens our clarity
That who we are is
Timeless
Vast beyond all measure
Never beginning
Never ending
Always present in this infinite here and now
Together
Never separated
Uniquely being
Ourselves

He reached out
She held out her hand
Like this? she asked, touching his fingers lightly
Like this, he replied, pressing his fingers gently against hers
Ahhhhh, they together sighed
She smiled. This is nice.
Yes it is, he said, now look and see
Everyone is here with us
All who ever were
And all who will ever be
Right here now
With you and me
Wow, she exclaimed
Hi everybody!
Now what are we going to do, she asked so all could hear,
What are we going to do with all this possibility?
A little boy and girl standing near said enthusiastically and in unison,
Let's have the world work for everyone!
Suddenly the crowd began to move
All shifting in the same direction
Forward they progressed
Unstoppable
A new idea of what might be
Growing

Today the world changed course
Humanity awoke
Saw itself for who it is
And brought forth
A wonderful vision
Where all are valued
All loved
All appreciated for who they truly are

A great awakening
This is good, he said
She replied, You aren't kidding!
Their hands touching
They lifted off the ground
The light from their hearts
Growing brighter
Then darkening into a radiant blue
The exact same color as the evening hue
Rising up
They became the sky itself
Just as we will someday
One with all
Above and beyond
Silhouette sunset
Deepening

Together we are moving
All of us
Into the night
Toward the dawn
A new day
Renewed light
Saying to one another
Along the way
