The Climb Poem by JoAnn McGrath

The Climb

The Climb

I was climbing that mountain I could not reach the top of

Except this time each step was a labor of love

The path that I chose was exciting too

Because with each step I was closer to you

The summit appears in all of it's splendor

It took all I could do just to surrender

From mountain tops that intoxicate

To wave after wave that satiates
