The Clock Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

The Clock

The clock

And called him once again
-must do it for friend

I call to make him laugh
-to forget his cancer
-and taking injection
-and hiccups
-and we talked
-complained:
- "Damn, clock! "

His comment took me to
- "Wait to die! "
-said woman of high age
-retired, unable

He, a man of good will
-pays visits to elder
-talks, listens

"I miss the waves of sea…"
"Remember streets…"
"When was young…"
-say oldies…

He visits what they miss
-shoots footage
-makes movies
-have them watch
-one by one

The end of story
-till dying
-till clock will stop

Friend said of clock
- "Is slow…doesn't move! "

And told me:
- "Lucky you…go to work,
-keep amused…"
