The Color Of My Heart Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Color Of My Heart

Red is the color of my heart
What's yours?
For many years
I wonder if white
Was the color of a few people's blood
It's based on what came out
From their mouths. They eat other types of food
Talk, walk, dance and their butts are flat
I thought they were different
Because the history books think that
They're better and less ignorant
Now, I know that everyone's interior is the same
Everything inside the human body is red, dark red
Thus everybody's blood is red. Who should we blame?
God who created the human body with mud
Is there a difference between white mud and
Black mud or any other colored mud? Send
Your blood to be examined if you're in doubt
Otherwise, you're incoherent. You should shut
Quiet… quietly close your mouth
Or go leave far into the deep mountains down south
Red is the color of my blood
What's yours? What's the color of mud?
I am not talking about snow
Tell me what you know.
