The Comet's Tale Poem by Edmund V. Strolis

The Comet's Tale

Rating: 5.0

A million mile tail.
Tracing an invisible line.
Tearing through dark matter.
Ice on fire scorching-nothing.

Screaming silent light.
Star drop forever falling.
Racing across the desert night.
The Bristlecone awaits the dawn.

The contrasts of the comet's seeming urgency racing across the night sky with its ice and matter scorching while in silent witness down below the Bristlecone pine tree, thousands of years old awaits another morning.

Beautiful poem and loved the picture. The vivid imagery flowed off of you pen and into my imagination. Loved it!
