Choose this day
This day for you alone
And hope it doesn’t haunt you
When you grow old
Never in this life
Should you regret what you’ve done
Because no one will be on your side
At the end of your life’s run
It’s been too long
To hold a greater grudge
Against a hopeful mother
Father, Daughter, and Son
But who are you?
Why should you complain?
Cause darling I’ll be the first to kick you off your stool
And end your woeful claims
Don’t cry for sympathy
It falls all deaf ears
Maybe now you’ll understand
And if not, you won’t live out your years
(Through the prospect of drowning in your tears)
