The Conquerors Poem by Sanika kkk

The Conquerors

Fatigued hearts and monotonous heartbeats,
Diminishing hope struggles to keep the heat.
Our egos conquer the understanding and
Feasts over love creating a misunderstanding.

Flames of differences and might,
Engulfs the peace instigating fights.
Darkness overpowers the shrouding light,
Amongst equal do we need to prove who's right?

Deep in sorrow oh we have forgotten,
My shy blush and your bold countenance.
Surpassing tides of terror,
How we found each other against the horror.

Through pain, birth and death,
Remember your indomitable faith?
Cradled in tenderness a bundle of joy
A promise of life; one girl and one boy.

We bled enough oh dear,
Broken spirits will heal, do you hear
Oceans will churn, winds will bow
We as conquerors will now reign over the sorrow.
